Position Overview

 

Manages the marketing activities and programs for the organization. Develops and implements marketing plans to serve the business objectives. Stays abreast of changes in the marketing environment and coordinates market research projects. Selects and manages ongoing relationships with different marketing vendors. May oversees advertising, events and public relations.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

 

A Day in the Life

  • Support all aspects of demand generation strategy for execution – including webinars, email campaigns, content marketing, events, digital marketing and advertising, sales enablement, social media, and PR.    
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of demand generation trends, best practices, and technologies to identify new advertising and demand generation opportunities.  
  • Evaluate insights and recommendations to continuously improve program effectiveness, brainstorm and implement creative, innovative, marketing initiatives.  
  • Assist in developing the marketing strategy 
  • Understand key markets to target, conduct market research and intelligence, and define market segmentation and buyer personas.  
  • Monitor changes to the competitive landscape at a macro-level, adjusting where required positioning and messaging.  
  • Help the marketing team position the product offering to ensure consistent and differentiated messages that map to buyer need, personas and influencers along a client lifecycle.  
  • Work with cross-functional teams in client services, product management, marketing and sales to ensure the alignment and flawless execution of go-to-market strategies that identify routes to market, content offerings, pricing strategy, sales and partner materials and pricing.  
  • Support, create and execute marketing campaigns and programs that drive new customer acquisition and sell additional products to existing customers (upsell and cross-sell) through a variety of mediums.  
  • Help generate a robust marketing pipeline focusing on the development of Marketing Qualified Inquiries (MQIs), and Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs).   
  • Develop and analyze key marketing metrics to ensure campaigns are meeting engagement, retention, and revenue goals. Provide higher level reporting on individual program and campaign performance to senior leadership.  
  • Collaborate with Sales to produce relevant content that meets the needs of both prospects and customers.  
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from the product team to build and optimize SEO, SEM and social media strategy for individual product(s) in events market.  
  • Assist in developing, writing, and contributing to blog posts and thought leadership content.

Experience 

      • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.   
      • Minimum 4-6 years of marketing experience.  
      • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.  
      • Experience using and creating reports from customer relationship management tools required (Salesforce – a plus).  
      • Familiarity with digital advertising platforms required (AdWords, AdRoll, LinkedIn – a plus).   
      • Experience using project management or productivity tools preferred (Asana – a plus).  
      • Experience marketing to, working with, or working in associations preferred.

      • Aptitude for technology and the ability to connect technical concepts with customer value.  
      • Experience building campaigns, analyzing key marketing metrics, and developing strategy for prospect and existing customer marketing programs.  
      • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and related communications simultaneously.  
      • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.  
      • Results-oriented focus, striving for quantifiable results that help the business succeed, with willingness to shift plans if necessary, to meet and align to goals.  
      • Demonstrated strong written communication and presentation skills.  
      • Strategic thinking and ability to define and pursue strategic objectives.
